'Tailored for Scotland' by Deirdre Kinloch Anderson preview in 'The Scotsman'

'Tailored for Scotland' by Deirdre Kinloch Anderson had a sneak preview in The Scotsman. The new book was published by Waverley Books on 10 September. The book, bound in genuine tartan cloth, tells the story of the company from its foundation to the present day. The book is a wonderful, fastidious document on Scottish history, tartan, costume, military uniform and the inside story of the ups and downs of a family company.

In its 224 pages, illustrated throughout with over 300 photographs and illustrations, the book explores stories and events of the past 150 years that shaped six generation of the Kinloch Anderson company. Today Kinloch Anderson are renowned worldwide as tailors and kiltmakers. They are holders of the Royal Warrants of Appointment as Tailors and Kiltmakers to HM The Queen, HRH The Duke of Edinburgh and HRH The Prince of Wales.

This book will appeal to those interested in Scotland and the story of tartan, military history, costume and family business.

The family company is now in its sixth generation and that in itself is a major achievement.
