Halloween, traditions, craft at home, with 'Tumshie' by Mark Mechan

https://www.thecourier.co.uk/fp/news/3814009/halloween-neeps-tattie-bogle/

Hello everyone,

Waverley Books here and we are delighted to share this review today in 'The Courier' for Mark Mechan's 'Tumshie'.

Mark has long celebrated art and craft at home, and the lovely memories of making your own Halloween without spending a fortune at the shops.

Mark's book 'Tumshie' is a lovely picture book that celebrates making costumes for Halloween from cardboard boxes, and paint. It shows how Halloween can be made and celebrated in a family without spending on merchandise, and the fun of making your own costume.

Dad makes the costume for Elliot and records the funny improvised costumes of other children to create special memories and excitement. Dad shows the effort of carving a lantern and fun involved in preparing for the party that makes the resulting party : dooking for apples, and other games so memorable.

Waverley Books in Scotland wishes you all a safe and happy Halloween!
