Waverley Books are delighted to announce that we will publish Sue Reid Sexton's new book on Thursday 7th April 2016.
Sue Reid Sexton used her campervan as a kind of mobile office in quiet, calm places in Scotland when she was writing her first two novels, and kept campervan notebooks... While this is not 'The Campervan Diaries', nor a history of campervan trips, nor a 'Zen and the art of campervan maintenance', or a notebook full of wildlife observations in the western Scottish Highlands, it is, nonetheless, a book with elements of all of those things. It is an emotional journey also about overcoming a relationship breakdown, but it's full of hope, humour and energy.
Sue has been a campervan holidaymaker since childhood, and since she became an adult, has owned four different campervans. Sue has made countless trips in her present campervan, and this book is a wacky mix of literary writing with the down-to-earth problems of breakdowns, creepie crawlies, and worries about things that go bump in the night when you are completely alone, and miles from anywhere. Parts of this book are set in Kintyre.
