A collection of more than 80 traditional compositions arranged for voice and piano, the songs and ballads in this book that reflects the rich heritage of folk music in Scottish life.
Songs include the ever-popular ‘Flower of Scotland’, ‘Loch Lomond’, ‘Scotland the Brave’, ‘Charlie is my Darling’, ‘Green Grow the Rashes, O!’ ‘Comin’ Thro’ the Rye’, ‘Ae Fond Kiss’, ‘My Love is Like a Red, Red, Rose’ and of course, the universally sung ‘Auld Lang Syne’. Many of these songs were first set down, or written, by Robert Burns.
The book is organised alphabetically by song title, and contains a glossary to explain many of the Scots words in the songs. The book is now in its third edition.
